So, crew for the next play,"Harvey", has FINALLY started. This is my fifth show (been doing crew since the first play freshman year), so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. We're going to be having a fairly small run crew and I'm praying that I'll be able to be on it. Honestly, I believe I'm pretty experienced with it. Opening night is coming up pretty fast, so cast and crew are both a little edgy.

today i met with my counsler about next years classes and all. I am most likely going to do Environmental Science at CASA, though when my sister heard this, she said 'why!? Everyone always complains about it! I hear its the worst class ever!!'

Is this true? Has anyone who has taken this have some input on the subject? thanks in advance

PIPPIN [01 Dec 2006|12:32am]

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Please come support the Berkley Drama Department and all of its members by attending one of our four promisingly spectacular performances. Anyone in the cast will tell you that it will be an incredible (and slightly sexual) show that we've all worked insanely hard on.

December 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th @ 7:30 pm (doors at 7)
Tickets are $6 for students and $10 for adults

The show will last roughly 2 hours with an intermission. It takes place in the BHS Auditorium.

To all BHS students- PLEASE come and support us like you would any other team at Berkley. We work just as hard and get less financial support. WE COME TO ALL OF YOUR STUFF... COME TO OURS!

Note: there is a PG-13 rating for this show

In response to the previous entry, I think it's fairly obvious reading some of the comments made, that maybe Berkley has some hostility in the terms of racism.

That being said, I encourage all of you to join diversity council.
Meeting every thursday in Ms. Dubeck's room.

If you feel like you've ever been discriminated against by:

-Lookism (the way you physically appear)
or Ableism

PLEASE, from the bottom of my heart, join diversity club!! Our ultimate goal is to squash any "ism" that exsists in our school.
New members are obviously always welcome.

one of the biggest problems, I feel at berkley is our intolerance. (though definatly not as bad as other schools in the area) We make assumptions about eachother rather than learning and being open minded.
We really need to stop generalizing entire RACES.
The one thing we all have in common, is that we are people.
Everyone is an individual and we shouldn't place the masses into catergories.

One of the hardest things to do in life is to overcome paradymes and take in new information. so I challenge all of you to join diversity club and see if you can learn something new about other people.

Am I the only one that feels a little weird about our school having an 'African American Empowerment Group'??

I feel discriminated against. Where's the 'Caucasion Empowerment Group'? I mean, at least make it equal...

to anyone who cares to read this [25 Oct 2006|07:16pm]

My name is Jon...I used to be in that shitty band, Promise Falls back in the day. I work at Armadillo Printwear on 12 Mile in Berkley. If any of you are interested in getting some shirts made for your band/sports team/organization/whatever, please do stop in, ask for me...and I will be more than willing to stop everything I'm doing to assist in making some baller ass shirts for you. If you need a design made up for you, I can do that as well. Armadillo currently does a lot of BHS stuff, including the boys soccer team, marching band and a lot of the Berkley boosters work...so the bear paw is not a foreign object to us.

In any event...we're open 9am-5pm, monday-friday.

Is the Homecoming Dance at 7PM or 8PM? The website says 7 but I could swear Daas or Lopez said 8.
